Calculation Issue

For this particular stock serenity number is showing a wrong value.

Actual value of the serenity number is 715. But it shows 358.

Exact values taken from your site (https://www.grahamvalue.com/stock/542351bo)
EPS = 59.66
TBVPS = 716.71

Serenity Number = root of (12 * 59.66 * 716.71) = 715.9

Please help

Dear muthuvel2,

Thank you for your forum post!

Apologies for the delayed response, but the answer is simple. Gloster Ltd (542351.BO) has recently had a stock split.

You can see the value Splits [From:To]: 1:2 in the Graham Result tab. The below video talks about these recent enhancements on GrahamValue.

Thank you again for your forum post!

SerenityStocks is now GrahamValue (Benjamin Graham Value Investing)

Thanks for your reply.

But still I'm confused, I agree stock split happened.

Earlier EPS is : 119.32 After Split EPS is : 59.66
Earlier TBVPS : 1433 After Split TBVPS is : 716

Before Split serenity value is root of 12 * 119.32 * 1433.42 = 1431
So after split Serenity value is root of 12 * 59.66 * 716 = 715

So all the values are updated properly after the split, but why it is again divided by 2 for serenity number.

Please clarify.

Dear mut2,

Thank you for your comment!

Apologies, but you're right. The calculation is automated and correct as usual, but the data feed for this stock appears to have an error.

Typically, the annual data of a stock is not adjusted for a split till the next annual report is released. However, in this case, the stock is reporting the adjusted annual data; as well as reporting a split.

Since GrahamValue adjusts the calculations for any stock reporting a split, this is causing a double adjustment, The actual Intrinsic Value for Gloster Ltd (542351.BO) could well be higher than shown. But please do your own independent due diligence.

In any case, the split should no longer be reported after 31st March; in a few week's time.
