Rating Score

Could someone shed some more light on the "Rating Score" that is found at the bottom of each individual stock's analysis screen? How is it calculated? What is a good Rating Score? What is a bad Rating Score? Or, what does IIIN's current Rating score of 8.5 mean? I've looked through the Quick Reference, but maybe I'm overlooking something.

Dear Ryan Hill,

Thank you for your forum post!

The Rating Score is discussed in the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ).

The Rating Score is simply a sum of all Graham Ratings. For example, a score of 4.5 indicates that the stock clears four Defensive ratings (including any Utility / Financial ratings), and one Enterprising rating.

It's quite easy to search for any combination of Graham Ratings using the Advanced Graham Screener. But the Rating Score was only introduced as way for users to quickly understand a stock's position, and has little relevance to Graham's actual framework.

Graham required specific combinations of these ratings.

The Rating Score is also discussed in the following video from the Video Tutorial List in the Quick Reference. The link to the complete list will also be shown at the beginning and end of the video.
